Get rid of dependence on US soybeans, China will exempt Southeast Asian multi-country soybean import tariffs in July
(Source: Good Feed Salon) People eat food for the day, clothing, food and shelter are the most concerned issues of the people, and also a measure of whether our lives are happy. It is the pursuit of most people to eat with peace of mind, sleep well, and have fun.
In order to ensure food safety in our country and ensure the people's food is safe, we have increased the supervision of imported food. This is obviously not good news for the US exporting country. The farmer who first affected the South of the United States has begun to violently rush and blame Trump’s decision, which is his basic ticket position.
Because China has increased its food import supervision, many US agricultural products do not meet China's import standards, and a large number of agricultural products are returned to the United States. The losses of American peasants were heavy, and a large number of agricultural products were forced to hoard at home, and the sales were slow.
In January 2018 alone, the amount of agricultural products cancelled in the United States was worth 40 million US dollars. Not only that, but China will continue to reduce the amount of corn imports to the United States. Prior to this, China has been the largest exporter of US corn, and China has consumed nearly a quarter of the US corn. In 2017 alone, we imported 2.83 million tons of corn, which means that if we reduce US corn imports, the United States will have 700,000 tons of corn that cannot be sold to China, facing the situation of slow sales.
This is not the first time China has cancelled the US corn import orders on a large scale, but the United States still refuses to repent, does not look for its own reasons, but also wants to continue to fish in troubled waters, and it is not so cheap. In 2013, we returned millions of tons of genetically modified corn in the United States. When we inspected the import of corn from the United States, the Customs monitoring department checked that there were unapproved MIRI62 genetically modified ingredients in the corn and was ordered to be returned by China. China has repeatedly reiterated that imported corn cannot contain these genetically modified ingredients, but the United States pretends not to hear and insist on its own way. For the same reason, in 2014, another 1.224 million tons of GM corn was returned.
For a long time, China's soybeans, corn and other crops rely heavily on imports, causing certain damage to domestic crops. Now that the United States and China are relatively nervous in economic and trade relations, the United States is still doing small moves behind it. Of course, China must seize this opportunity and give the United States a powerful counterattack. We must also actively find a way out, find new agricultural products import targets, expand new markets and sellers, partners, and never hang on a squat neck tree.
